Job Overview The Corporate Tax Manager will lead and manage Research & Development (R&D) Tax Credit engagements within the Methods, Credits & Incentives (MCI) practice. This role involves supervising projects, advising clients on complex R&D tax matters, ensuring compliance with federal and select state regulations, and supporting business development initiatives.
Must-Have Qualifications
Active
CPA
or
JD / active attorney license
(EA not accepted)
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
6–10 years of experience in
R&D Tax Credits
(Fixed Assets or Tax Accounting Methods experience accepted)
Minimum 4 years of accounting or tax experience in
public accounting or consulting
Strong knowledge of
federal and state R&D tax rules
and relevant case law
Experience with
amending tax returns
Prior
project management
experience
Strong time management and multi-engagement capability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to travel and work additional hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s or Ph.D. in Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related fields
Industry experience in Technology, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Construction, Hospitality, or Not-for-Profit
