
Position: Senior Business Analyst
Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
THE ROLE: Plays a pivotal role in enabling data-driven financial steering across the organization. Combining expertise in financial planning and analysis with a strong focus on data, business intelligence, and automation, the role supports business leaders with forward-looking insights, automated reporting, and performance transparency. Gathers, integrates, analyzes, and synthesizes financial and operational data into forward-looking insights and actionable recommendations for management, including financial plans, forecasts, strategic initiatives, and ongoing business performance.
TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES: Acts as a strategic partner to business leaders by delivering data-driven insights and performance analytics that inform decision-making. Designs and maintains automated dashboards and self-service BI tools (e.g. Power BI) to monitor financial and operational KPIs in real time. Leads the automation of recurring financial processes including forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis, significantly improving efficiency and data accuracy. Develops integrated data models that combine financial, operational, and commercial data into actionable reporting and decision-support tools. Supports budgeting and forecasting cycles with dynamic, model-based approaches that enable real-time scenario analysis. Collaborates closely with IT, and Business stakeholders to align on data governance, reporting standards, and infrastructure needs. Promotes data literacy across the Finance team and broader business, supporting adoption of BI tools and empowering users through training and enablement. Provides analytical support for strategic initiatives such as pricing models, customer segmentation, sales efficiency, and profitability optimization. Mentors junior controlling team members on data analysis, BI best practices, and the application of automation in everyday controlling work. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge & Application Requires complete knowledge of financial and analytical frameworks, with hands-on expertise in business intelligence tools and data integration. Applies sophisticated analytical techniques, advanced modelling, and automation logic to solve a wide range of business challenges. Develops new approaches, ideas to performance reporting and continuously refine internal processes, policies for greater scalability and insight quality. Complexity & Problem Solving
Understands and works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, evaluating, adapting of complex techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Work is reviewed upon completion and is consistent with departmental objectives. Collaboration & Interaction
Collaborates across departments to translate business needs into analytical solutions. Serve as a key advisor to senior internal stakeholders, often working with individuals who are unfamiliar with technical data concepts. Adapts communication style based on audience and regularly advocates for data-informed decisions. Educates others on analytics tools and pushing forward a data-first mindset across the broader business. REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics, Data Science, Business Administration, Finance or a comparable field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 8 years of experience in an analytical or controlling role with responsibility for BI or Data Analytics projects, ideally in a SaaS environment. Solid experience with Power BI or comparable BI tools; initial experience with AI/ML approaches is a plus. Strong analytical skills, a structured working style and the ability to translate complex data into clear actionable insights.
