Summary Objective The purpose of this position is to receive cash from customers, greeting and assisting customers either personally or by phone.
This class works under close to general supervision according to set procedures but determines how or when to complete tasks.
Essential Functions The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
Reviews and assists customers with new business applications and documents required to complete the application process.
Receives customer inquiries for business license applications.
Processes payments for Occupational tax.
Prints Occupational certificates, receipt and balance daily.
Generates daily reports for Occupational Tax.
Reviews and assists customers with new water service applications and documents required to complete the application process.
Receives and records water payments, balances cash drawer daily.
Serves as a receptionist, take and relays messages, provide general information to general public answer phones, receive customers inquiries, service request, complaints over the phone.
Sort and distribute incoming mail.
Performs related work as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High School graduation or GED equivalent.
Two (2) years of clerical experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
