
General Merchandise Associate
Job Objective:
Set up and maintain an appealing retail environment while assisting customers with their selection and purchase of merchandise

Provide excellent customer service to all dealership customers Greet customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner Possess the ability to multi-task by working with several customers simultaneously while maintaining customer satisfaction Handle telephone transactions quickly, courteously Lead customers to current and/or future sales, promotions, specials, and events Assist customers with a selection of merchandise while building selections with complimentary pieces and accessories Accept cash/credit card payments for merchandise purchases. Maintain accurate cash transactions via register Notify customers when special orders or back-ordered items are received Handle customer complaints reasonably, displaying empathy and a positive attitude promoting excellent customer service Provide prompt and accurate service at the cash register Receive and process merchandise from distributors, compare merchandise received with purchase invoice, log merchandise into inventory, and prepare product for the showroom floor Assist with set-up, organizing, and staging of special events Create well-organized presentations appealing to customers Ensure merchandise displays are stocked, clean, dust free, and aesthetically pleasing to customers Update and maintain customer mailing lists Attend training sessions to keep current with sound merchandising and inventory control practices
