
Trillium Professional is now seeking a Senior Salesforce Platform Engineer in Everett, MA!
This person will be responsible for developing new code and supporting existing code. This position will work with stakeholders and the development team to design, develop and support Salesforce and related applications using industry standard practices and tools.
The ideal candidate should be able to work in all tiers of the architecture and have experience with the Salesforce platform and integrations with external systems, as well as experience with transformation from Salesforce Classic to Lightning. They will also have experience in all phases of software development - design, development, unit testing, QA test support and defect remediation specific to Salesforce platform, as well as experience performing Salesforce admin duties.
Responsibilities 1. The Salesforce Platform Engineer is responsible for collaborating with the Organization, Project Managers, Architect, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance, in the process of creating software deliverables and artifacts. 2. As a senior member of the team, you must adhere to the organization’s methodologies and standards, and propose improvements based on software development best practices. 3. Perform Lightning Web Component Development and Integration platforms development support (enhancements, bug fixes). 4. Participation in efforts including requirements gathering, analysis, design, testing, roll out and documentation creation. 5. Participate in regularly scheduled meetings to discuss current tasks and weekly status reports.

Education and Experience Level 1. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with a major in computer science or a related field. 2. Proven record of accomplishment working on large-scale projects with diverse stakeholders and with cross-functional teams. 3. Build and enhance Salesforce UI experiences across Experience Cloud, Lightning App pages, Record pages, Flexipages, Flows (screen flows), and custom UI patterns. 4. Develop modern front-end solutions using JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, responsive design practices, component-driven design, and best practices for performance and maintainability. 5. Knowledge of Salesforce security architecture including roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and restriction rules 6. Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning development, including Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura Components a. Advanced proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3, with experience building responsive and reusable UI components b. Solid understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, sharing rules, and Lightning Data Service (LDS) c. Experience developing Apex classes, triggers, controllers, and test classes following Salesforce best practices d. Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, asynchronous processing, and platform events e. Strong experience with SLDS (Salesforce Lightning Design System) and UI performance optimization f. Knowledge of Experience Cloud (Communities) customization and Lightning-based user interfaces g. Experience debugging complex UI and backend issues using browser dev tools, Salesforce logs, and error monitoring h. Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and building accessible Lightning components 7. Strong experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Named Credentials, and secure authentication mechanisms (OAuth/JWT). 8. Experience implementing asynchronous integration patterns including Platform Events, Queueable Apex, Batch Apex, and error-handling frameworks. 9. Platform Developer I, II is must. Architect certifications add on 10. Preferred Skills: a. Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) b. Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint c. Experience with SFDC specific IDE and version control configurations (Github, BitBucket) for Salesforce development (VS Code, IntelliJ, SFDX) 11. Experience with accessibility laws and WCAG 2.1 compliance. 12. Experience with Agile development methodologies 13. Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn plus Excellent written/verbal communication & documentation skills. 14. Experience related to K-12 education/curriculum standards would be a plus. 15. Experience with cloud solutions/technologies, specifically AWS, is also a plus. 16. Ability to adjust to changing situations to address emergencies, program changes, or production requirements.
