
A leading regional social services agency is seeking a detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our high-impact Development Team. This role is vital to sustaining our mission-critical programs by managing a diverse portfolio of funding. You will lead the coordination of the grant lifecycle—from identifying new prospects to submitting meticulous reports—ensuring our agency continues to provide essential support to the community.
Candidate Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. Significant experience may be considered in lieu of formal degree.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven success in grant writing and prospect research.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with donor management software (e.g., Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM) is highly preferred.
Attributes: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; a high degree of organization; and the ability to manage competing deadlines with precision.
Compliance & Eligibility
Background Check: Due to the sensitive nature of our work, candidates must successfully pass a comprehensive background screening (including criminal history, motor vehicle records, and drug/health screenings).
Mobility: Must hold a valid driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, proof of insurance and updated registration, and demonstrate a consistent history of safe driving to comply with organizational insurance protocols.
salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM education: Bachelors
Responsibilities
Pipeline Management:
Oversee the full grant application and reporting calendar for federal, state, local government, and private foundation awards.
Content Creation:
Draft compelling proposals, letters of intent, and impact reports that articulate the agency’s mission and results.
Relationship Building:
Act as a liaison with grantors, attending necessary meetings and ensuring all stakeholder requirements are met.
Strategic Research:
Proactively identify and vet new funding opportunities to diversify and grow the agency’s revenue streams.
