Define end-to-end payments architecture strategy ensuring scalability, resiliency, and global adoption. Evaluate existing systems and recommend modernization strategies to improve performance, security, and compliance. Drive architectural consistency across payment platforms, APIs, and digital channels. Provide subject-matter expertise on instant payments, real-time settlement, and cross-border payments. Build architecture for Open Banking and API ecosystems to enable third-party integrations. Lead initiatives involving blockchain, tokenization, and emerging technologies. Explore AI-driven compliance, fraud prevention, and personalization use cases. Implement cloud-native architectures, microservices, and event-driven designs. Review code quality, system design, and technical debt. Establish best practices for development, integration, and testing. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements including AML, KYC, PSD2, GDPR, and ISO 20022. Partner with business, operations, and compliance teams to align architecture with strategic objectives.
