Job Summary
Join Liberty Tax Service as an Entry Level Business Analyst and play a pivotal role in shaping our business solutions. You will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, mapping business processes, and assisting with solution implementation utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage your communication and problem-solving skills to ensure timely delivery of project requirements and alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Take the lead on projects by translating them into actionable requirements, ensuring specifications are accurate and delivered on time.
Facilitate sessions and workshops with cross-functional teams to discover project requirements.
Develop wireframes and process flow diagrams that illustrate business processes and requirements.
Effectively communicate requirements to stakeholders and team members.
Collaborate with developers to convert business needs into technical specifications.
Verify project objectives are achieved by creating traceability documentation and user testing scenarios.
Work with the quality assurance team to test solutions, resolve defects, and support user acceptance testing.
Engage with developers and product owners throughout the project lifecycle from planning to post-release support.
Ensure all documents adhere to PMO standards and requirements.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups and retrospectives.
Identify and report project risks, issues, and dependencies to the project manager.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Proficient in project management tools (Azure DevOps preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, UX design tools (Figma), and video conferencing platforms (MS Teams, Zoom).
Skilled at gathering and documenting business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
Experience creating wireframes and process flows.
Familiarity with developing organizational change management materials such as release notes and training videos.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities with a background in collaboration across diverse teams.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Education and Experience
BA/BS Degree
1+ years of proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an Agile environment, or relevant academic background.
Physical Requirements
This position requires sitting at a desk in an office environment for extended periods.
Work Environment
The work environment is generally pleasant, with no exposure to adverse weather conditions.
