Digital SEO Marketing Manager
Roto-Rooter Services Company is seeking a hands-on, data-driven, on-site, Manager of SEO to help lead and execute our organic search strategy across a single enterprise website with hundreds of local market landing pages for our corporate home office, located in downtown Cincinnati, OH. This role is both hands-on execution and critical-thinking focused—ideal for someone with a strong SEO foundation who can drive day-to-day execution while continuing to build strategic depth and leadership skills. The salary range for this position including discretionary bonus is $85,000-$105,000, depending on experience.
You’ll partner closely with external SEO/AI agencies and our internal web development team to prioritize, coordinate/implement, and optimize SEO initiatives that improve local visibility, rankings, and lead volume. The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years of SEO experience, experience managing agency partners, and the ability to learn quickly and operate effectively in a fast-moving, performance-driven environment.
In addition to traditional SEO, this role will help advance our strategy around AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and LLM optimization to improve discoverability in AI-driven search experiences and conversational interfaces.

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage the SEO roadmap and prioritization across hundreds of local market pages, ensuring initiatives align to business goals and performance targets.
Serve as the primary internal point of contact for our SEO agency, driving alignment, accountability, and clear execution across deliverables.
Partner with the SEO agency on on-page, off-page, and technical SEO initiatives—providing oversight, feedback, and internal coordination to ensure successful implementation.
Coordinate with internal web development resources to support agency recommendations and ensure SEO updates are implemented accurately and on schedule.
Support management and optimization of Google Business Profiles across multiple locations, partnering with agency resources where applicable.
Review and interpret performance reporting (GA4, Google Search Consols, and agency reporting platform), identifying trends, diagnosing issues, and recommending next actions.
Lead ongoing communication of SEO performance and priorities to internal stakeholders, ensuring visibility into wins, risks, and upcoming work.
Stay current on SEO and search platform changes, translating updates into proactive recommendations and testing opportunities.
AI & Emerging Search Responsibilities (AEO/LLM)
Support the AEO/LLM optimization strategy and roadmap in partnership with our SEO agency and internal teams (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini).
Prioritize and oversee agency-led initiatives that improve AI-driven discoverability and citations for key service areas (plumbing, drain cleaning, emergency services, water damage).
Partner with agency to ensure measurement and reporting requirements are in place to track impact and guide ongoing optimization.
Requirements Requirements:
3-5+ years of SEO experience, including experience partnering with and oversight of agencies/vendors.
Experience supporting or managing SEO initiatives across a large site with local landing pages.
Experience optimizing Google Business Profiles in a multi-location environment.
Strong working knowledge of local SEO, technical SEO, structured data, and mobile-first design.
Proficiency with SEO and analytics tools.
Strong communication, prioritization, and project management skills.
Ability to translate SEO concepts into clear requirements and priorities for developers and partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in home services or other multi-location service industries.
Demonstrated ability to drive accountability and results through external agency partnerships.
Experience working in startups or agencies focused on emerging SEO/AI strategies.
Familiarity with AEO/ LLM optimization concepts and strategies for AI-driven search discoverability.
