motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Communications Assistant

Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing public-facing events and community programs
Represent the organization at events—welcome attendees, answer questions, and gather community feedback
Collaborate with internal teams to maintain consistent messaging and effective communications
Support post‑event tasks, including data entry, updating contact databases, and drafting summary reports
Contribute ideas to improve outreach, engagement, and communications strategies
Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable engaging with diverse audiences and speaking in front of groups
Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Friendly, professional, and reliable
Willing to work occasional evenings or weekends for events
Passion for community engagement, nonprofit communications, or civic participation
Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field is a plus but not required
