Summary of Functions

Under the direction of the Administrative Services manager, ensures top-notch customer service levels in accordance to the values, mission and policies of the Camas Center. The incumbent will ensure participant/member satisfaction and retention through outstanding program delivery. They will endeavor to create an atmosphere that is friendly, courteous, accurate and highly efficient. The Member Service Representative is the initial and primary link between the public and the Camas Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet all Camas Center members and guests. Check each member's membership status and issue towels. Process and complete new Camas Center member enrollment. Manage all aspects of membership accounts including contracts, billing, and updating files. Exact data entry to ensure accurate demographic and sales reports. Accept and process cash transactions for all Camas Center programs and services. Maintain a till drawer, collect money, make change and reconcile till drawer at end of each shift. Document all transactions, overages and shortages on the Daily Cash Summary form at the end of each shift and at the end of day. Answer the telephone and walk-in inquiries about the Camas Center, its facilities, and programs/services. Provide comprehensive tours of the Camas Center facility upon request. Ability to present oneself professionally to members and staff. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Prepare conference rooms. Including cleaning, A/V setup, furniture arrangement and coordinating with catering staff for food service table design. Schedule special events and or meeting correctly. Responsible for maintaining a good attendance record. Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for business levels. Stock shelves and replenish inventory, price merchandise. This job description does not list all of the duties of this position. High school diploma or GED required. Experience

1 to 3 years previous work experience required. Experience with child care preferred 6 months plus 1-2 years of experience in data entry; 1-2 years' experience with cash-handling and balancing of an end of shift; 1-2 years of experience working with the public as a receptionist, cashier or salesperson within a retail environment. Skills

Typing 35+ wpm Experience with web based computer applications. Requires attention to detail and ability to research inconsistencies Ability to work with little supervision Ability to multi task while taking incoming telephone calls. Cash handling. Experience with Point of Sales systems. Ability to handle stress, remain calm and courteous and hand a wide of variety to clientele. Delivery of outstanding, attentive and friendly customer service. Ability to maintain a friendly, professional demeanor in person and on the phone while handling a variety of tasks. Ability to identify/anticipate important customer service issues and prioritize tasks accordingly. Ability to enforce camas center membership policies with sensitivities and tact. Ability to work as a member of a team. Ability to work with emergencies /crisis situations calmly and professionally. Willingness to learn about all camas center programs, facilities and services. Work in drop in child care as needed or scheduled. Work at the pro shop as needed or scheduled. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodical journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various groups. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Physical Demands

Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Significant portions of the job require extended sedentary periods, constant work with computers, including extended periods of keyboarding, and repetitive motion of hands and wrists. This position requires significant amounts of standing or walking. This position requires significant local travel. This position requires occasional out of town travel to meetings and conferences. This position requires the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. This position requires frequent amounts of work to be performed outside general business hours. Other Requirements

Must obtain Bloodbourne Pathogen certification within 90 days of being hired, first aid certification and CPR. Hepatitis B vaccination required. Working Conditions

This position is performed primarily in an office environment.
