will be offered at Coopers Uptown, a Jockey owned and supported Café & Gift Shop in Kenosha, WI - an easy commute from the greater Milwaukee/Racine areas, Northern IL, or surrounding southeast WI regions. Plus, work schedules are flexible in order to accommodate class schedules/commitments. The Business & Marketing Intern will be an employee of Coopers Uptown but will regularly participate in all aspects of the Jockey Internship program.
The Coopers Uptown Business & Marketing Internship Offers:
Paid internship experience Exposure to key general business and marketing disciplines within Jockey owned cafe and retail store. Opportunities for two-way learning, mentorship, and collaboration between interns and Jockey and Coopers Uptown business leaders. The
Business &
Marketing Intern
will gain exposure to general business management, marketing strategies, and inventory management practices that keep Coopers Uptown a unique business that serves as a tradition for many in the community. In this position, the intern will have the opportunity to work closely with both the General Manager and Retail Manager, while actively engaging with the Jockey International interns at the corporate office.
FUNCTIONS:
Assist with general business operations and day-to-day function Learn best practices for retail operations and best in class customer service Support social media efforts from planning and content creation through performance reporting Help maintain website content and support email marketing campaigns Participate in inventory planning and intake EXPECTATIONS AND DELIVERABLES:
Weekly reflections (blog-style posts or short presentations) of their experiences and insights. A final presentation highlighting their contributions in business operations, social media, and website/email marketing that supported the Coopers Uptown culture and community presence and go forward recommendations across these areas. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work at Jockey's corporate office and Cooper Uptown in Kenosha, WI. (No relocation or housing assistance provided for this position.) Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business or related field. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office. Good oral communication and organizational skills. Strong time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to deliver work under tight time constraints.
