Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Sales Lead-Keyholder to join our team. This role involves overseeing daily store operations, leading sales initiatives, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail management experience, and the ability to motivate and develop team members. As a keyholder, you will be responsible for opening and closing the store, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment for customers and staff alike.
Lead and supervise daily retail operations, including opening and closing procedures
Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize sales
Oversee sales transactions using POS systems and ensure accurate cash handling
Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed store targets
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
Train, mentor, and evaluate team members on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service standards
Assist in recruiting new staff through onboarding processes
Conduct regular store audits to ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
Support marketing initiatives to promote store events and product launches
Maintain organized records of inventory levels
Qualifications:
Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with strong leadership capabilities
Excellent communication skills
Strong negotiation skills to drive sales and resolve customer concerns effectively
Knowledge of POS systems especially Lightspeed, inventory management software, and retail math principles
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform cashiering duties with professionalism
Skilled in employee orientation, training & development, and team management
Competent in merchandising, stocking, pricing strategies, and store presentation techniques
Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Organizational skills for managing inventory control, scheduling, and administrative documentation
Experience with marketing activities such as promotional campaigns or social media engagement is a plus
Demonstrated ability to supervise staff with experience in shift management and assistant manager responsibilities
