
About the Role
The Uber for Business Analytics and Insights team enables data-driven decision-making across sales, operations, and growth by building scalable reporting, delivering AI-powered, actionable insights, and deploying advanced analytics and machine learning. Projects range from KPI dashboards and automated reporting pipelines to ML and AI-based models that forecast Full Potential, estimate share of wallet, and surface next-best actions for sales teams. A candidate in this role will directly influence sales strategy, uncover growth opportunities, and embed analytics and AI into high-impact, decision-driving business workflows.
What You’ll Do
Build and maintain dashboards and AI-powered analytics products that track key sales and business KPIs and highlight recommended actions
Develop, test, and operationalize ML and AI models for forecasting, Full Potential, share of wallet, and opportunity prioritization
Analyze performance trends and customer behavior to surface proactive, actionable insights for Sales and Growth teams
Partner with Finance, Sales, Strategy, and Operations to translate business questions into scalable analytics and AI solutions
Communicate insights clearly to stakeholders, driving adoption of data- and AI-informed decision-making
Basic Qualifications
4+ years of experience in a similar role
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, reporting automation, and scalable workflows
Bachelor degree
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience building and maintaining dashboards and reports (e.g., Tableau) that surface clear, actionable insights for sales and business stakeholders
Ability to translate business problems into analytical and AI-driven solutions that inform strategic decisions
Strong business acumen in sales performance, market share, and opportunity sizing, with the ability to influence strategy through AI-augmented data storytelling
Experience building, deploying, and operationalizing ML and AI-based models (e.g., regression, forecasting, opportunity scoring), including monitoring and integration into business workflows (Flask, MLflow, or cloud services)
Advanced statistical expertise (multivariate regression, time series analysis, A/B testing) combined with applied AI techniques to generate proactive insights
Experience with cloud platforms and data warehouses (GCP/AWS/Azure; BigQuery or Snowflake) to scale analytics, AI tooling, and model training
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
