Location Fort Worth / Dallas–Fort Worth (Hybrid)
Compensation Competitive base + performance-based commission + upside incentives
Role Overview SGS Studios is seeking a Business Development & Sales Manager to drive revenue across our sound stage portfolio and integrated production services platform, including both SGS-owned and approved third-party services. This role is responsible for identifying, securing, and expanding relationships with film, television, streaming, commercial, and live-production clients. The role is primarily focused on stage bookings and services monetization, with exposure to LED / virtual production stages as part of a broader, flexible production offering.
Key Responsibilities Revenue & Deal Execution
Drive bookings and long-term commitments for:
Traditional film and television sound stages
Production facilities and campus services
LED / virtual production stages (as applicable)
Originate and close new production opportunities across film, TV, streaming, commercials, and branded content
Structure and negotiate commercial terms, including stage rentals, service bundles, and multi-production agreements
Maintain and manage a robust pipeline of active and returning productions
Production Services & Third-Party Revenue
Sell and coordinate SGS-owned and approved third-party services, including:
Transportation and fleet
Equipment rentals
HVAC, power, lighting, and production infrastructure
Location services, basecamp, and temporary facilities
On-lot and off-lot production support services
Support SGS preferred-vendor, bundled-services, and revenue-share programs
Client & Industry Relationships The Business Development & Sales Manager will build and maintain strong relationships with producers, studio executives, line producers, and production managers, serving as a primary point of contact for productions evaluating SGS Studios and the broader Texas market. This role will work closely with internal studio operations teams and approved partner vendors to ensure seamless coordination and execution from deal negotiation through active production. The position will also represent SGS Studios at industry events, film commission meetings, and studio tours, while actively monitoring production activity, competitive studio offerings, and incentive programs. The role will provide ongoing market feedback to leadership related to pricing, demand trends, and service opportunities, and will support studio utilization, pipeline development, and long-term campus growth initiatives.
Qualifications
5+ years of business development, sales, or production-facing experience within film and television production, studio operations, production services, or related production support businesses (e.g., equipment rental, transportation)
General familiarity with LED and virtual production concepts preferred but not required
Proven ability to develop relationships and close production and services-based deals
Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills
Comfortable working in a production-driven, deadline-oriented environment
