
Sales Engineer | Motion Control & Automation | Pacific Northwest (Remote)
We’re supporting a
global leader in motion control and factory automation technology
in their search for a
Sales Engineer
to cover the
Pacific Northwest , including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded sales professional to manage and grow a high‑potential territory while working closely with distributors, OEMs, system integrators, and end users. Candidates should be based near a major regional airport, ideally in the
Seattle, Portland, Spokane, or Boise
area.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve regional growth objectives
Drive demand for motion control and automation solutions across OEM, integrator, and end‑user accounts
Support and manage distributor and channel partner relationships
Provide technical consultation and application expertise throughout the sales cycle
Conduct regular customer visits, product demonstrations, and presentations
Manage pricing and negotiations in partnership with sales leadership
Generate, qualify, and follow up on new sales opportunities
Collaborate closely with application engineering and marketing teams
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
Manage the full sales process from prospecting through to order placement and post‑sales support
What they’re looking for:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering , or 10+ years of relevant technical sales experience
Minimum of
5 years’ experience
selling motion control or automation products in the Pacific Northwest
Strong understanding of the
U.S. factory automation market
and competitive landscape
Proven success in
consultative and solution‑based selling
Experience supporting distributors, integrators, and multi‑channel sales networks
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple proposals and deadlines effectively
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
30–50%
within the region
