Description We are seeking a Full‑Time Civil Design Engineer in our Omaha office. The ideal candidate will be a self‑starter with the ability to communicate effectively with team members. Additionally, this candidate will:
Work closely with internal staff to meet client needs
Prepare civil engineering designs, drawings & specifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an EAC/ABET, CEAB‑accredited engineering program, or program that is meeting the NCEES Engineering Education Standard received on or before May 2026
Engineer‑in‑Training (E.I.T.) certification or ability to obtain within six months
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and introductory experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
Ability to effectively work independently or with a team
Preferred Qualifications
Internship experience or up to two (2) years of engineering experience preferred
Experience with roadway design, hydrologic and hydraulic computations, computer modeling, and presentation of results.
Demonstrated knowledge of Public Improvement Plan layouts, design, and processes and procedures
Experience with the City of Omaha, Sarpy, and Douglas County, and/or other local agencies
Knowledge of the Omaha Regional Design Manual and PERMIX
