Title Senior Advisor - Integrated Fires

Job Summary The candidate will serve as a Senior Advisor supporting Army Integrated, Defensive, and Offensive Fires weapon system portfolios, and OSD equities. This role spans the full acquisition lifecycle, integrating engineering, program control, testing, fielding, training, deployment and logistics. The candidate will play a critical role in coordinating multi‑disciplinary efforts essential to major defense acquisition programs, as well as other‑than‑major systems and subsystems. The candidate will help to ensure that acquisition decisions are driven by operational needs, reducing delays, and creating tighter alignment between requirements and delivered capabilities. Key stakeholders will include the Joint and Army Staffs, OSD, HQDA DAMO‑Fires, Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE), Army Transformation and Training Command, Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Fires, and Army Air and Missile Defense Commands (AAMDCs).

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Acquisition Execution:

Lead development and implementation of acquisition strategies that align with customer overarching capability delivery goals. Serve as a KBR Senior Adviser for strategic acquisition pursuits for Army Fires, Integrated Air and Missile Defense, MDA, SMDC, Army Transformation & Training, and appropriate subordinate commands and elements. Develop strategic visions and plans and set objectives for new and existing government customers. Work with Senior Leaders to develop and implement strategic and tactical action plans in support of combat developments, materiel development, HQDA integration, and modernization initiatives.

Program Integration & Oversight:

Support cross‑functional integration of program elements—operational, technical, and logistical—to enable effective acquisition and sustainment of Fires systems. Work with stakeholders to ensure that Army Fires programs are no longer “system‑centric” but capability‑centric, with the warfighter’s operational requirements driving decisions.

Stakeholder Engagement & Governance:

Collaborate with stakeholders to align acquisition with operational concepts to enable faster and more accurate translation of warfighter needs into delivered systems. Engage key stakeholders such as Joint and Army Staffs, OSD, HQDA DAMO‑Fires, SMDC, MDA, FCoE, Army Transformation and Training Command, PAE Fires, and AAMDCs to better posture the Army to deliver capabilities our Soldiers need without delay.

Strategic Growth & Business Development:

Serve as a KBR Senior Advisor for Integrated Fires pursuits with Army PAE Fires, MDA, SMDC, OSD and AAMDC business pursuits. Shape strategic direction, engage with new and existing government customers, and support solution development aligned to Army modernization priorities. Serve also as a liaison with other peers on KBR cross‑business unit opportunities.

Leadership Development & Mentorship:

Contribute to the KBR Leadership Program through development and deployment of training, mentoring, and enrichment activities designed to develop future leaders and improve retention and engagement.

Basic Qualifications

Clearance: Active Top Secret security clearance

Education: Master’s degree preferred, bachelor’s degree required

Experience: 25+ years of experience supporting Warfighter mission and requirements (e.g. Air and Missile Defense / Fires, Army, MDA, SMDC, and/or OSD systems)

Preferred Qualifications

Proven success integrating programs and providing acquisition support for PAE Fires, SMDC and MDA related organizations

Deep familiarity and established relationships with Army Staff, Fires Center of Excellence, AAMDCs and key acquisition offices

Hands‑on experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) execution

Strong leadership in planning, executing, and managing large‑scale DoD programs

Excellent briefing and communication skills, with experience delivering content to senior Army, SMDC and MDA leadership

Demonstrated ability to operate in high‑tempo environments with competing priorities and diverse stakeholders

Location Huntsville, AL (Government Site or Contractor Site) with periodic travel to Washington, D.C.; El Paso, TX and other CONUS locations as required.
