Job Description We are seeking experienced applicants for the Clinical Trial Sales Specialist to cover our Northeast Territory (Boston, NYC, Philadelphia). The ideal candidate will live within 25 miles of Boston, MA and have experience in pharmaceutical sales or medical sales (e.g. infusion or hospice sales). You will be responsible for driving enrollment of new participants in our psychiatric clinical trials by engaging local providers and community organizations to educate them about our trials and whether any of their patients may qualify. The role will mostly focus on our inpatient trials for schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder, so it will be especially important to build relationships with local psychiatrists, hospitals, and inpatient facilities. This position includes a significant, uncapped commission.
Responsibilities
Sell clinical trial opportunities to existing and potential providers to achieve monthly trial enrollment targets
Identify and develop relationships with all regional sales targets including, but not limited to, Specialty Physicians who treat relevant populations
Provide regular updates about recent enrollments and new provider prospects to manager and also to local leadership of our clinical trial sites in each city
Represent the company within the healthcare community with professional decorum and respect for the clinical trial process and sensitive mental health topics
Maintain up-to-date records in CRM (Salesforce)
Smoothly hand off new providers to our intake managers
Meet periodically with our doctors to learn about any new provider leads they may have and to learn relevant details about our new clinical trial opportunities
Conduct in‑person visits to providers as appropriate (~50% travel, mostly in Boston but some in Philadelphia and NYC as well)
Qualifications
Experience selling into hospitals strongly preferred
2+ years healthcare experience required, ideally including Psychiatry
3+ years of sales experience required, with strong track record of quota attainment
Bachelor's degree required, nursing or medical education preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to identify, qualify and close accounts
Self‑starter, entrepreneurial spirit, attention to detail, well organized, strong problem‑solving abilities, and presentation skills
