The Brand Digital Content Manager (B2B) is responsible for developing and optimizing content that engages healthcare industry business audiences across Optum social media channels. This role combines editorial planning, content creation, community management, and social analytics to support Optum's business objectives and strengthen brand presence.
Primary Responsibilities
Editorial Planning: Manage social topic requests and editorial calendars
Content Development: Create compelling B2B social content, managing development of written and visual assets by partnering closely with internal marketing, communications and creative teams
Community Management: Oversee day-to-day management of the Optum LinkedIn community, including monitoring feeds, responding to positive comments and fostering positive engagement
Paid Social: Support paid social efforts to increase business social followers and boost organic post reach
Reporting: Produce weekly and monthly business social reports and provide insights and recommendations to inform and improve social content
Skills And Experience
Journalism and/or Editorial Writing: Background in journalism, editorial writing, or brand storytelling
Digital-first Content: Solid understanding of the social media landscape and experience with digital marketing and communications
Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current on emerging social trends, audience behaviors, and platform capabilities; willingness to test and iterate approaches
Results-Driven: Demonstrated ability to set goals, measure performance, and effectively communicate outcomes
Time Management: Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadline-driven projects in a fast paced environment

Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in journalism, editorial writing, or brand storytelling
3+ years B2B content marketing management
3+ years of hands‑on management experience with social media, including LinkedIn and YouTube
3+ years of working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Experience managing projects across matrixed teams and remote collaborators
Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to simplify complex concepts into compelling, easy to understand content
Proven solid organizational and time‑management abilities
Proven solid interpersonal skills, with comfort engaging across various levels of the organization
Demonstrated success collaborating with cross‑functional partners and multiple stakeholders
Comfort navigating ambiguity with flexibility and confidence
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the health care industry or media landscape
Experience managing additional social platforms, including Meta, X, and TikTok
Experience working within a large, matrixed enterprise environment
Additional digital content experience, such as blog development and podcast production
Background in SEO strategy and keyword research
Proficiency with social analytics and listening tools (e.g., Sprinklr)
Pay Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full‑time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
