Job Overview Join our dynamic marketing team as a Brand Manager at Qualcomm, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping, evolving, and managing brand identity. Brand Strategy
Support data‑informed brand identity transformations through comprehensive market research, audits, and competitive analysis, collaborating closely with creative teams and external agencies.
Guide internal teams in naming new products and programs, ensuring alignment with Qualcomm’s brand architecture and naming strategy.
Brand Management And Development
Oversee brand asset development from creative briefing through stakeholder management, project management, approvals, and communications.
Manage project budgets and resources to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery.
Partner with agencies and in‑house teams to drive creative excellence and operational efficiencies.
Develop project plans that meet critical milestones efficiently without sacrificing quality.
Keep brand guidelines current and reflective of brand changes.
Manage and lead brand trainings, presenting guidance to cross‑functional teams and agencies.
Brand Governance
Champion brand consistency, working with functional teams to ensure all marketing materials adhere to global brand guidelines.
Provide brand guidance and strategic support to internal teams and agencies, fostering a strong brand advocacy culture.
Share regular brand updates with internal teams and agencies through newsletters and trainings.
This is a highly collaborative position that requires open, respectful communication with individuals inside and across teams. Flexibility and focus are essential to respond to priorities across diverse audiences.
Location: Office‑based, San Diego, CA.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related fields.
Associate’s degree or equivalent and 5+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related fields.
High school diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related fields.
Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may substitute up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10+ years of experience in Brand or Marketing related fields.
Strong understanding of brand value and brand concepts, including principles, positioning architecture, naming, identity, and governance, with experience implementing them in a dynamic global company.
Ability to evaluate whether creative meets brand standards and guidelines.
Strategic and analytical thinker who brings fresh ideas.
Professional presence and ability to engage all levels of the organization.
Capacity to comprehend and apply research findings to inform recommendations.
Ability to execute and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and experience managing creative agencies.
Knowledge of the creative development process from briefing to final file types.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening.
Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills.
Experience leveraging AI tools for research and creative development.
Self‑motivated, accountable, and able to work independently and within teams.
Basic production skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
