The City of Ann Arbor has an extensive, highly rated parks system, which includes two 18-hole golf courses, Leslie Park and Huron Hills. The City of Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation department is seeking an experienced, community-focused golf professional to join our team in leading our municipal golf courses. Experience Required Required Education, Training and Experience:
A successful candidate must have at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree, at least two years of experience supervising others, and at least two years of recreation facility or program management.
The City of Ann Arbor, at its discretion, may consider an alternative combination of formal education and work experience.
First Aid and CPR certification
Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Education, Training and Experience:
Five years of experience supervising others, and at least five years of recreation facility or program management.
Membership, with PGA, LPGA, or CMAA
Essential Responsibilities Role Summary: The Recreation Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations of the golf course and clubhouse. You will lead a collaborative team dedicated to keeping golf high-quality, affordable, and accessible. Your focus will be on:
Leadership: Training, scheduling, and mentoring a diverse course staff.
Programming: Managing golf instruction, leagues, and tournament operations.
Business Operations: Overseeing food and beverage, merchandising, and budgeting.
Community Engagement: Delivering exceptional customer service and promoting the mission of Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation.
