Mid-Market Production Account Executive – Midwest (North America)
Aon has an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Risk team as a Middle Market Production Account Executive. If you enjoy connecting with clients, solving business problems, and seeing opportunities where others see challenges, this role may be the right fit for you. The role will provide you with the opportunity to develop strong client relationships within a global organization.
What The Day Will Look Like
Provides expertise, identifies client needs, offers a customized approach, and manages a portfolio of middle‑market client accounts (determined by volume/size of accounts and/or nature of business).
Demonstrates new business production abilities with a track record of new logo acquisition, cross‑sell, and a primary focus on commercial accounts.
Ensures overall account profitability with a value‑based approach for services and costs.
Leads stewardship planning and delivery, drives the renewal process, and assembles the team to implement client‑specific renewal strategies.
Ensures client service team understands client needs, delivery methods, and the economic framework relevant to services delivered.
Educates clients on trends, market issues, and relevant benchmarking, data, and analytics.
Marshals appropriate Aon resources to support clients in unusual circumstances such as large claims.
Involves others across geographic, solution lines, and functional boundaries to define interdependent responses to growth opportunities.

Skills To Be Successful In The Role
7‑10+ years of experience leading client relationships and/or selling Risk Management Solutions products or related products.
Ability to build relationships and leverage them to achieve mutually beneficial business results with mid‑market economic buyers.
Strong client‑facing skills, track record of influencing decision‑makers, including the C‑Suite.
Excellent client management to manage an existing book while generating new business.
Fosters critical relationships between Aon colleagues, clients, and the external payor/insurer market.
Articulates and executes a strong value proposition; possesses strong oral and written communication and negotiation skills.
Organizational, interpersonal, and project‑management skills with ability to multi‑task and prioritize workloads with attention to detail.
Demonstrated technical proficiency and ability to build innovative solutions.
Critical thinking skills, ability to express thoughts clearly at various levels.
Excellent digital literacy; experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Active Property & Casualty license required.
Demonstrated expertise in a specific industry segment with a proven history of serving clients in that area.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.

Compensation The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $150,000 – $250,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on your education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive production incentives in addition to base salary. The amount of any production incentives varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
