Milwaukee Cylinder is seeking a high‑energy, self‑motivated
Sales & Marketing Assistant
to support and help execute our sales, marketing, and growth initiatives. This is a junior‑level, hands‑on role designed for someone who wants a
fast learning curve , broad exposure to manufacturing, distribution‑driven sales, and B2B industrial marketing. This role blends
digital marketing, sales operations, analytics, and strategic support . The ideal candidate will take ownership of marketing and outreach programs, support sales activity with data and reporting, and help Milwaukee Cylinder grow distributor engagement, mindshare, and market presence. This position reports directly to the President and will work closely with sales, customer service, engineering, and operations. Key Responsibilities
Support development of the company’s marketing strategy and tactical execution plans Track progress against initiatives and provide updates and recommendations Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities across sales and marketing processes Digital Marketing & Brand Presence
Serve as the internal owner and coordinator of digital marketing efforts Manage relationships with external agencies for website development, content creation, and SEO Coordinate website updates, landing pages, and content priorities Oversee SEO initiatives and performance tracking Manage company social media presence (primarily LinkedIn) Track and report on website, SEO, and social media metrics Create recurring and ad-hoc quote reports by distributor, customer, product, industry, and win/loss trends Data-mine the quote database to identify actionable opportunities and follow-up activity Analyze quoting activity to support distributor engagement and sales strategy Provide sales insights and reporting to internal teams and distributor partners Lead Management & Distributor Follow-Through
Ensure all inbound leads are reviewed, assigned, and tracked Assign leads to specific distributors based on geography, history, and sales direction Coordinate with the customer service team to ensure leads are consistently processed Maintain visibility into lead volume by distributor and communicate activity to build mindshare Develop basic reporting to show how many leads have been provided to each distributor Follow up with distributors to understand lead status, progress, and outcomes Build and manage outreach programs using customer and distributor touchpoint data Support programs that grow distributor sales team members into Milwaukee Cylinder advocates Assist with distributor training, webinars, campaigns, and educational initiatives Manage distributor business plans and Market Development Fund (MDF) programs Product & Market Marketing
Create marketing materials for new and existing products Support go-to-market planning and product launches Conduct research on emerging industrial markets and niche applications Assist with planning, organizing, and following up on sales trips and distributor meetings Prepare briefing materials, summaries, and follow-up action items Growth & Acquisition Support
Assist with acquisition research and company profiling Support marketing and communication efforts for acquired businesses Qualifications & Skills
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to analyze data and convert it into actionable insight Comfortable working with Excel, databases, and reporting tools Self-starter able to manage multiple initiatives independently Preferred
Experience in B2B, industrial, or manufacturing marketing Familiarity with SEO tools, website CMS platforms, and analytics Experience with CRM, quoting systems, or ERP-related data Comfort creating basic marketing visuals and presentations Personal Attributes
