
Packaging Material Sales Specialist

Summary: Develop relationships with customers and drive sales for packaging material product lines through prospecting, outbound calling, and interactions with the customer over the phone, email, visits, and trade shows.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide superior customer service and support for the agreed-upon packaging material product lines: rollstock film, casings, shrink bags, and bone guard
Meet bookings, revenue, and margin targets for new and existing business
Maintain accounts and contacts, prepare quotations, process orders, and log activities in the CRM and ERP
Expedite order with purchasing, distribution center and shipping carriers as required
Communicate inventory needs management to anticipate customer needs and minimize stockouts
Provide feedback to management and Marketing regarding enhancements to the printed literature, electronic or social media, e-commerce platforms, and our product offerings
Identify new prospects, qualify leads/opportunities, and secure new business
Share leads, critical customer information, and market intel with the supplies, equipment, parts, and service teams
25-50% travel is required, which may fluctuate each year according to customer visits, tradeshows, and training
Education and/or Experience:
High School/GED required, associate or bachelor's degree preferred; or 2+ years related experience in customer service or sales, preferably in a technical setting; or knowledge of food packaging and supplies; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications:
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Computer Skills:
CRM/ERP software experience required; Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI experience is a plus
Intermediate Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) required
