Railspire, Jacksonville, Florida, United States, 32290
Type:
1099 Contractor – Minimum 20 hours/week retainer
Location:
Florida (frequent travel to NE & South/Central FL required)
Compensation : Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience + performance-based bonuses
About Railspire Railspire is the pioneer of autonomous locomotive control software. We are transforming one of the world’s most vital, and conservative, industries by bringing AI-driven autonomy to the rails. We have active customer operations delivering significant ROI daily, and we are looking for a storyteller to help us scale that impact.
The Mission In an industry where change is measured in years, momentum is our most valuable currency. You won't be managing agencies or delegating to freelancers, you are the department of one responsible for ensuring that the excitement of an initial site demo, sales call, or event presentation doesn't fade during a 12-to-18-month approval process.
You will be responsible for capturing our real-world ROI and translating it into a relentless cadence of high-end, emotionally resonant content. You aren't just managing a brand; you are fueling a complex sales engine. You will have open access to the president and work in collaboration with the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities Content Production:
Personally film, edit, and produce high-quality video testimonials and case studies from our active customer sites. Create scroll-stopping LinkedIn posts, email campaigns, and one-pagers that explain ROI in seconds. Sales Enablement:
Create "leave-behind" materials, relatable customer stories, and use-case deep dives, and build a library of modular assets (15-second clips, infographics, testimonial snippets) that empower prospects to sell Railspire internally and give our sales team deployment-ready content for every pipeline stage. The "Demo-Extension" Strategy:
Develop content specifically designed to reinforce the impact of site demos and speaking engagements, ensuring late-stage decision-makers have the context they need to say "yes." This will include reviewing attendee lists and recommending targeted materials by audience type. Narrative Strategy:
Categorize content by commodity (e.g., grain, coal, steel), geography, and use case to ensure every prospect sees a version of Railspire that looks exactly like their operation. Social Media Management:
Develop and execute a LinkedIn-focused strategy, supplemented by YouTube, Facebook, traditional trade publications, and industry podcasts, to keep Railspire top-of-mind for industry executives and decision-makers.
Who You Are A "Full-Stack" Creator:
You don't need an agency to make a video or a designer to build a PDF. You own the process from raw footage/data to final export. A Storyteller:
You can take complex concepts and turn them into compelling stories about safety, efficiency, and ROI. Scrappy & Self-Directed:
You thrive in a startup environment. You are comfortable traveling to rail yards, putting on a high-vis vest, and getting the shot yourself.
Experience & Skills 7+ years of experience in Content Marketing, Sales Enablement, or Brand Journalism (preferably, but not necessarily, in B2B tech, robotics, or industrial sectors). Expert Proficiency:
Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, InDesign, Photoshop) or equivalent production tools. You know how to use LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms to "surround" a prospect organization with a steady flow of vibrant, relevant content, each vignette a piece of a compelling whole
Portfolio Requirement:
You must be able to show examples of work you personally produced, not work you managed.
Industry Experience:
Prior exposure to rail, surface transportation or heavy industry is a plus, but a "quick-study" mindset is a requirement.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Why Railspire? You will be the first person in this role at a company that is literally changing how the world moves goods. You will have direct access to the leadership team, the freedom to define our visual identity, and the opportunity to see your work directly impact the growth of the company. As the company grows it is anticipated that this will become a full time Director level position.
