CATERING SALES MANAGER What You’ll Do
Drive catering and event revenue by meeting and exceeding sales goals through proactive prospecting, networking, and account management.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to maximize customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Negotiate room rates, function space, and contracts using yield and revenue management principles.
Prepare proposals, contracts, event orders, and other sales documentation accurately and on deadline.
Collaborate with the Director of Catering & Events and banquet teams to ensure seamless event execution.
Conduct local sales calls, market research, and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities.
Represent the hotel with professionalism, integrity, and a service-focused approach.
What You’ll Bring
Proven hotel catering or sales experience with a track record of revenue growth.
Strong sales, negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently with excellent organization, time management, and follow-through.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Marriott systems experience a plus.
Reliable transportation and ability to make outside sales calls.
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Sales & Marketing, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
CMP designation a plus.
Schedule varies based on business needs and may include evenings or weekends.
Ability to stand/walk for portions of the day and lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
