About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced

Senior IT Applications Specialist

to operate, maintain, and deploy enterprise-level

Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) applications

across a global organization.

This role will lead operational initiatives, optimize software environments, and support internal clients across Global Practices, Regional Offices, Project Offices, and affiliates. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in

engineering and design software suites , automation, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Role Overview

The Senior IT Applications Specialist is responsible for planning, supporting, and enhancing

AEC applications, infrastructure, and data environments . This includes administration, automation development, incident management, vendor coordination, and continuous operational improvement.

You will act as a key liaison between IT disciplines and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration, improved data management, and enhanced project execution.

Key Responsibilities

AEC Application Administration & Support

Plan and manage operations for core AEC platforms including

Autodesk, Bentley Systems, Hexagon, and ESRI Deploy and support AEC applications based on business demand Develop automation routines for product provisioning, permissions, and metadata management Create and maintain system architecture diagrams for critical systems Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Identify operational efficiencies to improve project execution Analyze recurring issues to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions Monitor trends in customer issues and recommend process improvements Remain informed on product enhancements within the AEC industry Incident Management & Vendor Coordination

Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and system issues Escalate unresolved issues to vendor support in a timely manner Lead QA/QC processes for incident tickets Develop application test plans and document execution outcomes Stakeholder & Client Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients and vendors Ensure customer satisfaction goals are consistently met Coordinate between IT teams and Global Practices for seamless software operations Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to junior IT applications staff Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, CAD, Engineering, or related field (Relevant experience may substitute for degree requirement) 8+ years of experience troubleshooting and supporting design application programs in a production environment Technical Expertise

Expert knowledge of one or more AEC platforms: Autodesk Bentley Systems Hexagon ESRI

Strong understanding of application infrastructure and data management Experience developing automation routines and managing permissions/provisioning Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency Core Competencies

Exceptional

customer service and analytical skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to independently manage multiple deadlines and priorities Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors Strong organizational and prioritization skills Performance Expectations
