
Courtroom Recorder
Clallam County District Court II is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated professional to join our team in a key support role. This position plays a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of official court records. You will be responsible for documenting and preparing written records of court proceedings, producing precise minutes, and safeguarding exhibits to maintain a clear and reliable case history. Additional duties include administering oaths, reading verdicts, and operating audio and video equipment to support the smooth flow of hearings. This role offers the opportunity to be at the center of courtroom operations, working closely with judges, attorneys, and the public in a fast-paced legal setting. Strong organizational skills, discretion, and professionalism are essential for success. NOTE: This position is located in Forks, WA. Typical Duties
Produce accurate, detailed minutes for all court proceedings Identify, number and keep all court exhibits safe Prepare and/or process documents and orders for signing, filing and including in court files Perform specific audio and video functions Follow courtroom procedures and instructions to maintain a smooth and routine court Take custody of and store guns, knives, narcotics, cash, jewelry, clothing and other materials used as evidence Handle multiple-step transactions such as receiving and/or issuing receipts, forms, cash and documents Education, Training, & Experience
Requires knowledge of the field of assignment sufficient to perform thoroughly and accurately the full scope of responsibility as illustrated by examples in the above job description. Education/Training High school diploma or general education degree (GED); to perform this job successfully, an individual should have computer knowledge and ability.
