CREATIVE COPYWRITER

At least 3 years of proven work as a copywriter with demonstrated retail marketing expertise. Automotive experience a plus but not required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus – ability to write compelling copy in both languages highly valued.

 

Core Responsibilities:

Writes and produces advertising copy from conception to completion for print, digital, broadcast, and direct mail with a retail-focused, results-driven approach.

Develops strategic marketing campaigns that drive measurable business objectives – when given a challenge or goal, crafts compelling copy designed to achieve specific results.

Combines branding expertise with retail urgency – balancing brand positioning and creative storytelling with aggressive sales messaging and calls-to-action.

Demonstrates creative problem-solving and strategic thinking – goes beyond execution to concept innovative solutions that address client challenges.

Concepts with art directors and creative department team members to develop fresh, innovative ideas that connect emotionally while driving action.

Researches competitive advertising and market trends to develop creative ideas and identify opportunities for differentiation.

Consults with Account Services to obtain information on the Client's business and discuss campaigns, concepts and execution with a focus on business goals and ROI.

Reviews copy with Account Executive to ensure adherence to strategic focus and tone. Corrects and revises copy until approved.

Footage will be required to be reviewed and selected for all video projects.

Monitors all assigned projects through the production process and consistently meets deadlines.

Ensures accuracy and excellent production and advertising execution.

Knows and writes within all legal guidelines including advertising laws, state motor vehicle advertising regulations, manufacturing advertising regulations and coop guidelines.

Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.

Follows all internal guidelines, policies and procedures.
