As an Estimator - Multifamily, you will play a key role in analyzing costs and preparing accurate estimates for multifamily construction projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in construction estimation and a deep understanding of project management principles. Client Details Our client is a 30+ year general contractor specializing in occupied rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, multifamily redevelopment, historic renovation, and new development. Established in 1993, the company has grown to over 50 employees and maintains a strong presence throughout MA and CT.

Description Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and full bid packages across all major trades Develop conceptual, schematic, and design‑development estimates based on incomplete or evolving design documents Lead subcontractor outreach, prequalification, bid leveling, and scope reviews Build and manage full project budgets, clarifications, and assumptions Support value engineering efforts and provide cost‑saving alternatives to clients and design teams Coordinate with architects, engineers, owner's representatives, and consultants during preconstruction Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and revisions to maintain accurate cost projections Prepare estimates for multifamily, adaptive reuse, historic renovation, and occupied rehab projects Develop detailed bid instructions and ensure subcontractors understand scope requirements Attend site visits, pre-bid walkthroughs, and meetings with clients and design teams Maintain historical cost data, subcontractor databases, and market pricing trends Support early logistics plans, phasing strategies, and site constraint analysis for occupied spaces Collaborate closely with Project Managers and leadership to transition estimates into active construction budgets

Profile Mid‑level to senior estimating experience - able to "hit the ground running" Strong background in multifamily, renovation, adaptive reuse, or occupied‑space construction Proven experience developing full estimates from conceptual through GMP Ability to independently manage scopes, cost models, and subcontractor coordination Strong analytical, technical, and organizational abilities Proficiency with estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, On‑Screen Takeoff, Excel, or similar) Ability to work full‑time in the Canton office Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent the company professionally with owners and partners Job Offer Base Salary: $125K-$160K (depending on experience) Benefits Package: 75% company‑paid healthcare & dental 401(k) with 100% match on first 3% + 50% match on next 2% PTO + 10 paid holidays annually Additional Advantages: Collaborative, family‑oriented company culture Long‑tenured staff and strong leadership support Stable pipeline of negotiated and repeat clients Opportunity to support complex, high‑value projects up to $50M
