Responsibilities The Sales and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Sales Team and the Executive Office when needed. An ideal candidate is able to be pro‑active, solutions‑oriented, and positive while operating in a fast‑paced environment. It is imperative for an applicant to have a working knowledge of the entire sales process, from initial inquiry to closing and servicing of clients. Some of the essential tasks of this position include answering incoming calls and emails, qualifying and completing lead forms in Envision, assisting guests with questions and special requests. Administrative support provided to the Group Sales Team will include creating and assigning leads, building group room blocks, entering rooming lists, setting routing instructions and VIP designations, and creating group turnovers and resumes. The Sales and Marketing Coordinator will also work with the DOSM on creative marketing projects, public relations, budget planning, marketing plan, and SWOT analysis.
Qualifications Essential
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English (speak, read, write) with guests, team members and management.
Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow‑through, initiative, warm hospitable manner, courteous, cooperativeness and work with minimal supervision.
College graduate.
Previous hotel experience in operations or sales (required).
Punctuality and regular, reliable attendance.
Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with team members and the public.
Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, such as reaching, bending and stooping; repetitive hand motion (typing) for extended periods of time.
Desirable
One to two years of previous hotel sales coordinator experience.
Computer knowledge in a Windows environment and previous experience with an automated property management system.
Proficiency with graphic design tools such as Canva and Photoshop.
