Job Overview The Oklahoma Real Estate Commission serves as the sole government entity to regulate and issue all real estate licenses in the State of Oklahoma. In addition to licensing real estate professionals, the Commission also investigates and prosecutes consumer and licensee complaints related to licensed and unlicensed real estate activity in Oklahoma.
The Commission is seeking a full-time Real Estate Investigator to perform investigative related tasks as well as provide compliance support for Commission staff.
Typical Functions: Major Responsibilities
Reviewing, investigating and providing updates regarding complaints and case statuses; conducting interviews and investigative research to process and expedite complaint and case workflows.
Drafting investigative reports and recommendations for review by the Chief Investigator.
Serving as a witness in administrative enforcement actions involving real estate license code and administrative rule violations, and other matters as assigned, including but not limited to providing investigative findings at formal hearings.
Providing compliance assistance and guidance to real estate professionals, Commissioners, and Commission staff members, as necessary.
Develop and deliver continuing education presentations for real estate professionals.
Participate in public speaking engagements, training, and outreach events.
Provide compliance support and investigative support to the Executive Director, as necessary.
Competencies And Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and at least one year of professional experience in auditing, real estate, or property management.
Preference may be given to applicants who have held or currently hold an Oklahoma real estate license.
Must be a highly organized, self‑directed individual with the ability to respond to changing priorities, meet deadlines, work collaboratively, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Must be able and willing to travel statewide.
The selected candidate may be required to complete real estate coursework within 90 days of hire.
