Our SelectLeaders client is a fully integrated commercial real estate operating company specializing in investment in real estate equity. Founded in 2015, they handle every aspect of capital raising, acquisition, leasing and management for industrial properties. Since its inception, our client has acquired 20 assets and currently manages 12 properties totaling over 4.5 million square feet. Their expertise stems from extensive institutional experience in real estate debt and equity investment. This includes ground‑up development, loan underwriting and origination, purchase of subordinate and distressed debt, and management of structured financing products secured by commercial real estate debt.

They are seeking a full‑time Associate – Asset Manager to oversee and execute asset‑level strategy across our industrial real‑estate portfolio. This role will be responsible for driving operating performance, executing business plans, managing third‑party property managers and leasing teams, and supporting hold/sell/refinance decisions at both asset and portfolio levels. The Associate will work closely with acquisitions, finance, and leadership to monitor asset performance against underwriting, identify value‑creation opportunities, and implement best‑in‑class reporting and asset‑management processes as the platform continues to scale.

Responsibilities

Oversee day‑to‑day asset management activities across the portfolio to drive performance and value creation.

Underwrite and evaluate new investment opportunities and ongoing asset‑level initiatives.

Monitor portfolio performance against business plans, budgets, and forecasts.

Partner with Property Management to develop, track, and refine annual operating budgets.

Work closely with Accounting to review financial statements, variances, and reporting accuracy.

Support execution of asset strategies related to leasing, capital expenditures, and hold/sell decisions.

Travel to properties as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, or related field preferred).

Industrial experience is preferred but not required.

Proficient in Excel and Argus.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

1–4 years of relevant experience in asset management, real estate, finance, investment management.

Highly self‑motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
