
Group Sales Manager/Director for Victory Casino Cruises
Position Overview
The Group Sales Manager/Director will be responsible for generating, booking and managing group sales for Victory Casino Cruises. This role involves identifying and securing group leads such as birthday parties, social organizations, anniversaries, bachelor/bachelorette parties, family reunions, holiday celebrations, and retirement community outings, among others—to enjoy a day or night of gaming and food and drinks aboard our 5-6 cruise on the Atlantic Ocean. The role requires strong leadership, sales management, and customer relationship management skills, as well as experience with group bookings and contract negotiations. This position is a land-based job.
Key Responsibilities 1. Lead Generation and Follow-Up
Follow up on incoming group sales leads to generate bookings.
Pursue self-generated group sales leads.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
Tailor packages to meet client needs and enhance the group's experience.
2. Sales Strategy and Execution
Develop and execute group sales strategies aimed at various markets, such as social organizations, corporate events, retirement communities, etc.
Present and sell tailored group packages, including gaming, dining, and transportation options.
Coordinate transportation options as needed, ensuring seamless service from booking through boarding.
3. Staff Management and Training
Hire, train, and manage a team of regional sales professionals to expand the reach of group sales.
Set and monitor sales goals for the team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Provide ongoing support, guidance, and training to maintain high performance and customer satisfaction.
4. Contract Management and Negotiation
Oversee contract negotiations for group sales, ensuring favorable terms for the company and clarity for clients.
Work with internal teams to ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
Maintain accurate records of all bookings, contracts, and client communications.
5. Collaboration and Coordination
Coordinate with onboard teams to ensure smooth and enjoyable group experiences, including any special requests.
Work closely with the internal team on manifest counts and any changes that occur.
Collect and analyze feedback to continually improve group packages and sales strategies.
6. Retention and Client Relationship Management
Develop and implement customer retention strategies to encourage repeat bookings and referrals.
Maintain regular communication with clients before and after bookings to foster long‑term relationships.
7. Reports
Provide weekly sales reports to CEO.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Sales Management, Hospitality, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in group sales, sales management, hospitality, or event planning, with a focus on customer relationship management.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Experience with managing a sales team, with strong leadership and motivational skills.
Excellent negotiation skills with a strong understanding of contracts and terms.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
Must have a 4 Year College Degree.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of sales management.
Familiarity with customer relationship management.
Experience with group transportation logistics.
Computer proficient.
Must Be Proficient In
Microsoft Word.
Microsoft Excel.
Google Drive.
