Position Summary
The Director of Quality Management provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the organization’s Quality Improvement, Risk Management, Infection Prevention, and Patient Safety programs. This role ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory, accreditation, and licensure standards, including federal, state, CMS, and other governing agencies. The Director collaborates with clinical and administrative leadership to drive performance improvement, enhance patient safety, reduce harm, and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) required. Bachelor’s degree preferred (unencumbered).
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a quality leadership role within a healthcare setting, preferably rehabilitation or acute care.
Desired Qualifications
BSN Preferred
CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) preferred
Infection Prevention experience preferred
NHSN and IRF QRP data knowledge
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
Strong knowledge of CMS Conditions of Participation, accreditation standards, and regulatory compliance.
Expertise in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) principles and methodologies.
Proven ability to lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and performance improvement initiatives.
Data analysis, interpretation, and reporting proficiency.
Effective interdisciplinary collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a rapidly changing environment.
Ability to influence organizational culture and promote continuous improvement.
Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
High level of integrity, accountability, and critical thinking skills.
