
Job Summary
Responsible for helping to grow the brand and improve brand recognition that meets and exceeds key performance indicators. This role will also assist with developing campaign strategies and deliverables to promote the brand while fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Functions
Collaborates with various teams to develop content calendars, manage projects and analyze the performance of campaigns.
Solicits and gathers requests for proposals, promotional campaigns and creative deliverables from agencies, consultants, contractors and media service providers for CVB facilities, programs and events resulting in increased exposure, participation, household penetration rates and revenue.
Identifies and analyzes scope, requirements, and deliverables to ensure that all project phases are documented appropriately in the CRM system and other tracking documents.
Compiles project status reports, manages project meetings, identifies potential problems and completion of CVB projects and communicates project timelines to CVB staff members; coordinates with external agencies when necessary.
Monitors marketing budget and measures the return on investment of marketing expenditures ensuring that marketing dollars are spent effectively.
Conducts research to analyze competitive landscape, market trends, identify target markets and customer behavior.
Analyzes third-party partner recaps and invoices to ensure all deliverables were received, payment is provided and internal reviews are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Establishes trust and rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
Maintains a close working relationship with Accounting team members to ensure all finance related elements are completed in a timely and efficient manner including but not limited to budget spending, authorizations and invoices.
Works in cohesion with the Sales team to create effective marketing tools, collateral and other needs for trade shows, conference events and meetings.
Researches current trade show trends such as booth design, layout and engagement with attendees.
Maintains an inventory and directory of current and new marketing brochures and other collateral while working in conjunction with Visitor Information and CVB staff.
Drafts copy, solicits, oversees and tracks bids from vendors to obtain information regarding estimated costs, labor and materials required to complete projects, including printers, photographers, publishers, agencies, etc.
Responsible for editorial and creative accuracy of print and digital projects and ensures that creative and digital marketing team make revisions requested by clients.
Seeks timely review of all content and assignments.
Performs related duties as directed when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position.
Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.
Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers, and others in the course of daily work.
Required Skills
Excellent organization, interpersonal, writing, multitasking and communications skills with an exceptional grasp of the English language and grammar are required.
Attention to detail is a must with outstanding time management and decision-making abilities.
Excellent computer skills including all Microsoft Office programs, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
Comfortable working in a public or outdoor environment.
Ability to provide excellent customer services including a desire to help customers regardless of their circumstance.
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain cooperative-working relationships with employees and those contacted in the course of work.
Education, Experience and Other Requirements Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing or related field plus three (3) years of comparable project management and advertising agency experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Must pass a Federal/National criminal background check, credit check, and have a valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as defined by City policy.
Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
