We are looking for a smart, curious, and highly adaptable IT & Solutions Specialist to support both hands-on IT operations and enterprise systems design and implementation.
This is a hybrid role by design:
~50% IT & systems support in a live manufacturing and fabrication environment
~50% solution architecture, process mapping, and enterprise software implementation, with a primary focus on supporting Fox Marble, our high-end marble fabrication business
You will work directly with the executive team, helping translate business needs into technical solutions and playing a hands-on role in implementing those solutions.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being close to the business, learning fast, and applying modern technology—including AI tools—to real operational challenges.
The Team You’ll Work With … As the IT & Solutions Specialist, you will be an integral part of our talented Operations and Technology team, supporting connectivity across our office environments, tile manufacturing floor, and marble fabrication facilities. You will bridge the gap between traditional IT support and industrial automation, playing a key role in integrating new CNC and Waterjet technologies into our network infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to help with technical architecture of a growing multi-site production operation. Reporting to the IT/Operations Manager, this position is located primarily in Richmond, CA, with travel to San Francisco, Berkeley, and Aromas (Onsite). Our culture thrives on professional development, ongoing training, and opportunities for growth within the organization. This is a salary position and pays $75,000 - $105,000.
Meet the Hiring Manager, Marshall McKerchie! Joined Fireclay Tile in 2024 to spearhead digital transformation and manufacturing excellence. The team supports every corner of our organization, ensuring our digital tools work as hard as our makers do. By putting technology at the heart of our operations, we’re streamlining workflows and creating a more seamless, efficient experience for our entire team.
What You’ll Achieve …

Support system integrations, data flows, and light scripting or automation
Apply AI tools (LLMs, automation platforms, analytics) to improve efficiency and decision-making
Own small projects end-to-end—from requirements to implementation to iteration
What We Look For in You … We’re looking for someone who is resourceful, AI first, and comfortable wearing a hard hat. You enjoy learning fast, solving ambiguous problems, and working close to the business—not just behind a ticketing system.
