
Cape Coral CPA firm, Macias and Associates, is looking for an in-office Bookkeeper/TaxPreparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle accounting for business clients and tax preparation for Individuals, Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, and Payroll, be proficient in QuickBooks, and be responsible for Financial Statements. Effective client communication is a must. While a CPA or EA background is preferred, it is not mandatory. Experience in Public Accounting is a plus. This position is based in our office.
Responsibilities
Provide accounting and tax services to small businesses.
Review and correct the client's general ledger for tax preparation and planning.
Effectively communicate orally and in writing (respond to client questions – tax and accounting/bookkeeping; request information needed to fulfill the engagement).
Maintain working knowledge of QuickBooks.
Review tax returns.
Research, evaluate, and provide resolution to questions during preparation of tax returns and financial statements.
Coordinate work with team members and work independently within the scope of the project.
Utilize technology and adapt to ever-changing processes.
Dedicate to the profession/work and maintain a high standard of work ethics.
Qualifications
2 to 5 years of work experience in a CPA firm.
Individual and Business Tax Return preparation experience is required.
QB Desktop & online: 3 years (Preferred).
Working knowledge of the UltraTax program is a Plus.
QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification is a Plus.
EA or CPA license preferred.
Compensation $25 - $28 hourly DOE
