Salary Range: $20.00-$25.00 Hourly (D.O.E.)
Plans and organizes daily operations of the camp, including determining where, when, and how activities will be held using cost-effective planning.
Assists with inventories, purchases, and allocating supplies.
Coordinates participant registration, including all appropriate paperwork, proper payments, permission slips, and medical release forms.
Assists with maintaining Utah State Childcare License requirements, including background checks, training logs, participant logs, emergency, and medical forms, etc.
Prepares for daily events by setting up on-site activities, reviewing staff schedule and registering children.
Creates bi-weekly calendar of events.
Accountable for safety and well-being of campers. Establishes relationships with parents and makes every effort to meet any reasonable parental requests.
Organizes and coordinates all aspects of field trips, including transportation, site reservations, and payment. Acts as counselor on field trips.
Establishes rapport with appropriate City departments and staff to effectively operate the Summer Day Camp program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work well with children, including a high energy level and the ability to supervise groups of high energy kids.
Knowledge of various age levels and their specific capabilities.
Ability to supervise a staff of 14-20 seasonal Day Camp Counselors.
Van Driver Certification (or ability to obtain; provided on-site by employer).
CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification (or ability to obtain; provided on-site by employer).
