Position Summary
Responsible for ensuring investor accounting functions are completed. Reviewing both the HMDA data for Mortgages and reviewing the daily maintenance and exception report to ensure the bank has accurate loan information in core system.
Responsibilities
Works with accounting staff to ensure accurate general ledger recording of appropriate transactions.
Works with investor account vendor to ensure accurate reporting and ensure compliance with reporting for loans sold to secondary market.
Responsible for helping review the Mortgage HMDA data for accuracy.
Responsible for the review process for loan maintenance in both consumer and mortgage core systems.
Responsible for managing the remittance to vendors (i.e., Community Homebuyers and Habitat for Humanity) for loans per guidelines.
Responsible for managing the necessary transactions for reclassification, repurchase and foreclosure on the data processing system.
Ensures timely and accurate remittance of funds to investors.
Manages the reconciliation of bank statements and research differences.
Responsible for ensuring that Guarantee fees are completed monthly for loans sold on secondary market.
Reviews investor accounting requirements and procedures to ensure accuracy, compliance and efficient reporting and remitting.
Prepares check requests for the Escrow account for stale dated or replacement checks per procedures.
Responsible for managing the review and mailing of the monthly construction loan statements.
Prepares and submits reports to investors per their guidelines; processes service release transactions when needed.
Performs monthly review of various reports to ensure accuracy including financial and regulatory data.
Performs necessary follow up and updates to ensure compliance.
Review and research requests for management.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of the position.
Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.
Must understand all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.
Experience and Skills
One (1) to three (3) years of related experience preferred.
Good PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential.
Knowledge of Consumer and Mortgage loan documentation.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Detail oriented.
Education Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Travel Requirements Ability to travel to all locations as well as ability to travel overnight, as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc.
