The firm is seeking an Analyst, Real Estate Finance to join its finance team, working from our office in Newport Beach.
The Analyst, Real Estate Finance will provide support across several of the company’s business functions, specifically real estate portfolio management. This role requires autonomy and the ability to deliver comprehensive financial analysis and strategic recommendations that senior leadership can rely on for critical decision-making. The Analyst, Real Estate Finance serves as a liaison between the regional asset management teams and the accounting and executive teams, focusing on portfolio-level analysis and reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepare and assist in the presentation of comprehensive financial reports and strategic recommendations to senior management, including the President of Real Estate and CFO.
Analyze and evaluate financial performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations.
Create and maintain the Company’s Strategic Plan model, which includes a three-statement model.
Support the development and implementation of financial strategies and initiatives at the corporate level.
Prepare monthly Credit Utilization report including regional and corporate inputs.
Prepare yield maintenance analysis, as needed, for the real estate portfolio.
Prepare monthly loan summary report for real estate portfolio.
Prepare monthly operational and financial metrics for the real estate portfolio of stabilized assets.
Assist in annual appraisal process and act as liaison between third party appraisers and regional teams.
Contribute to company processes such as budget preparation and preparation of Board materials.
Participate and assist in the implementation and refinement of software systems such as Yardi Forecast Manager, Yardi Construction Manager, Yardi Facility Manager, and VTS.
Assist in the preparation of quarterly Development Sources & Uses for Board Reporting.
Assist in strategic changes and process improvements for monthly reporting, including State of the Region.
Research and recommend Power BI solutions to automate executive reporting initiatives.
Assist in the research of industry standard reporting and performance metrics and incorporate into both monthly and quarterly reporting initiatives.
Contribute to corporate tax strategy and compliance by assisting with Opportunity Zone valuation models and compliance tests.
Participate in and contribute to 1031 exchange analysis as needed.
Liaise between regional asset management teams and the finance and executive teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
Obtain and analyze market information related to the overall portfolio, identifying trends and opportunities for strategic initiatives.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of investment models and templates to ensure accuracy and consistency across all regions.
Occasionally travel to regional offices or properties to gather insights.

Education / Experience
Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in finance, real estate, economics, or accounting
Excellent knowledge of Excel, including the ability to create complex financial models.
Proficiency in Office 365 applications, with strong knowledge of PowerPoint, and other reasonable software applicable to position and organizational needs.
Working knowledge of Argus preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Designations / Certifications demonstrating specific industry and job knowledge such as Argus, REFM, and CFA Level I, preferred.
