
A dynamic organization is seeking a skilled
Senior Communications Specialist
to drive and manage external communications for key audiences, including members, providers, clients, agents, and internal teams. This role blends strategic thinking with creative execution, overseeing messaging across digital and print platforms while supporting leadership with communication planning.
What You’ll Do:
Develop, write, and edit communications for a variety of stakeholders
Manage quality control for content, collaborating with external communications/PR agencies
Lead communication strategies in partnership with leadership
Oversee the annual communications calendar and manage related projects
Organize media events, handle press requests, and contribute to crisis communications planning
Support internal teams with talking points and campaign messaging
Handle other responsibilities as needed
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred) in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or similar
6+ years of experience in a communications role, including writing, editing, and project management
Expertise managing digital campaigns (email, SMS, etc.) from start to finish
Experience in healthcare communications is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills across digital and print formats
Intermediate project management and Microsoft Office proficiency
Spanish bilingual skills highly preferred
Schedule & Compensation:
Hybrid: 2 days onsite, 3 days remote
Monday–Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm
Temp role with strong potential to convert to permanent after approximately 90 days
