
Bilingual Collection Agent / Consumer Resolution Specialist (Spanish/English) -

The Role
We are seeking a high-performing, results-driven
Bilingual Collections Specialist
with native Spanish language skills to join our team. You'll work with financially distressed consumers in both Spanish and English, helping them identify real solutions to regain control of their financial situation.
This isn't traditional collections. Our AI agents handle the majority of consumer interactions. You'll handle escalated cases—the ones that require human expertise, emotional intelligence, or regulatory compliance.
Your bilingual ability is critical : you'll serve Spanish-speaking consumers who need human connection and navigate culturally sensitive financial conversations.
You’ll handle:
Spanish and English-speaking consumers who request to speak with a person
Cases requiring human involvement by law or regulation
Complex payment arrangements and dispute resolution
Sensitive negotiations requiring cultural understanding and empathy
Your impact:
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with Spanish-speaking consumers
Resolve the most challenging collection cases in our groundbreaking system

Ensure compliance and deliver best-in-class consumer experiences
Work remotely with a collaborative, high-performing team
Key Responsibilities Collections & Relationship Management:
Contact consumers in Spanish and English to negotiate payment arrangements
Build trust-based relationships with Spanish-speaking consumers experiencing financial hardship
Proactively identify opportunities to resolve accounts and drive positive outcomes
Navigate cultural sensitivities around money, family obligations, and financial stress
Dispute & Issue Resolution:
Quickly and effectively resolve disputes and complaints in both languages
Handle escalated collection cases requiring expert judgment
Document all interactions thoroughly for compliance and quality assurance
Follow up diligently to ensure payment commitments are met
Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge:
Maintain expert knowledge of FDCPA, TCPA, CFPB, and state-specific collection regulations
Ensure every interaction meets legal and compliance standards
Stay current on regulatory updates and AI-driven engagement strategies
Handle sensitive cases with precision—you're our compliance checkpoint
Team Collaboration & AI Improvement:
Provide feedback to improve AI agent performance with Spanish-speaking consumers
Share insights on cultural nuances that impact collection effectiveness
Contribute to strategies that enhance outcomes for bilingual consumers
Act as a role model for professionalism, integrity, and commitment to excellence
What It Takes to Succeed MUST HAVE:

Native or fluent Spanish speaker
with professional-level English proficiency
✅
5+ years proven collections experience
in accounts receivable, debt collection, or consumer finance
✅
Clean compliance record
- no regulatory violations or disciplinary actions
✅
Track record of meeting or exceeding collection goals
and performance metrics
✅ Deep knowledge of
FDCPA, TCPA, and CFPB regulations
✅ Exceptional
negotiation and problem-solving skills
in both Spanish and English
✅ Ability to handle
difficult conversations with empathy and persistence
✅
Cultural competency
working with diverse Latino communities (Mexican, Puerto Rican, Central American, etc.)
✅ Proficiency with
CRM systems, dialers, and omni-channel platforms
✅
Self-motivated and accountable
