Precision Sales Recruiting is partnering with a confidential luxury design-build firm in Austin to identify a Sales Advisor who will own the client-facing sales process from first contact through signed construction agreements.
This is a true sales role focused on consultative, in-home selling. The Sales Advisor guides high-net-worth homeowners through a structured, staged process and is responsible for qualification, follow-up, objection handling, and closing the next commitment at each phase.
This role is not business development, not project management, and not design. It is a closing role for a professional salesperson who values process, judgment, and long-cycle relationship selling.
Why This Role Exists Our client delivers high-end residential custom homes and remodels for discerning homeowners. Historically, sales responsibilities have been handled by ownership, which is no longer scalable given growth targets and increasing project volume.
This role was intentionally redesigned to remove business development and sourcing responsibilities and create a clean, focused sales function. The Sales Advisor’s sole responsibility is to manage qualified opportunities, guide clients through the process, and close agreements.
How the Sale Works The Sales Advisor is responsible for selling the
next step , not the entire project upfront. The sales process is intentionally staged to ensure alignment and reduce risk for both the client and the firm.
Depending on where the homeowner is in their journey, the Sales Advisor will close:
Pre-Design Agreements
for clients without existing plans
Design Agreements
once schematic direction is aligned
Pre-Construction Agreements
prior to final pricing
Construction Agreements
after final pricing
Support continuity through execution of the construction contract and handoff to delivery teams
You will not produce designs, estimates, or construction documents. Your responsibility is to clearly explain the process, build confidence, address objections, and secure commitment at each stage.
What You Will Do
Respond quickly to inbound inquiries from marketing, referrals, and partners
Qualify and disqualify opportunities based on scope, budget, and timing
Conduct onsite consultations in client homes throughout the Austin area
Lead consultative sales conversations with high-net-worth homeowners
Present and close staged professional service agreements
Handle objections and guide prospects toward confident decisions
Maintain consistent follow-up to prevent stalled or lost opportunities
Track activity, pipeline, and outcomes accurately in CRM
Maintain client continuity through a signed construction contract
Collaborate closely with ownership and internal teams during handoffs
What This Role Is Not
Not a one-call close or high-pressure sales role
This role exists to qualify, guide, and close alignment, not to source leads or manage teams.
Compensation and Benefits This role offers a balanced combination of base salary and performance-based variable compensation.
Base Salary:
$75,000 to $95,000, depending on experience
Target Variable Compensation:
$40,000 to $60,000
On-Target Earnings:
$125,000 to $150,000
Variable compensation is earned on
signed client agreements , including pre-design, design, pre-construction, and construction agreements. Earnings are cumulative and increase as annual sales volume grows, with greater upside realized as projects progress through later stages.
Additional benefits include:
Health insurance stipend up to $300 per month
15 days of paid time off
CRM and sales tools provided
This compensation structure reflects the long-cycle nature of luxury remodeling and design-build sales and is best suited for candidates comfortable with staged closings and delayed but meaningful upside.
Who This Role Is Best Suited For This opportunity is ideal for a moderately senior sales professional with experience selling high-value professional services in a consultative, relationship-driven environment.
Relevant backgrounds include:
Luxury design-build sales for new homes and remodels
Pre-construction or design consultants with sales responsibility
High-end residential or in-home consultative sales
Successful candidates are confident discussing large budgets, skilled at closing staged agreements, and comfortable working with sophisticated homeowners.
What You Bring
Proven consultative sales and closing experience
Comfort conducting onsite sales meetings in client homes
Strong qualification and disqualification judgment
Ability to handle objections without pressure tactics
CRM discipline and pipeline management rigor
Professional presence with affluent clients
Comfort operating within a structured, multi-stage sales process
As the firm continues to grow, the Sales Advisor will play a key role in refining the sales process and supporting long-term revenue goals. There may be opportunities to expand responsibility over time as the sales function matures.
