Summary This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in supporting all levels of the distribution center while focusing on customer success and driving the branch’s sales growth. You will contribute to achieving branch goals in a collaborative, safety‑conscious environment. The role provides a consistent Monday‑Friday schedule, no weekends! Your efforts will be valued in a positive workplace that recognizes and appreciates every contribution.
Key Accountabilities
Deliver exceptional Customer Service by responding to customer needs thoroughly in a timely manner with accuracy and detail- walk in, phone or through email
Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge
Field and resolve customer issues and questions
Perform inside sales duties as needed while utilizing consultative selling skills
Establish, develop, and service new customer accounts
Provide quotes to customers and process customer orders
Schedule product deliveries, and communicate deliveries to the customer
Order inventory for replenishment
Operate in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment
Support Supply Center Team in attaining the overall goals and objectives of the business unit
Accurate order entry
Follow and execute any additional direction given by Branch Manager that will assist in obtaining overall goals and objectives of the organization
Other duties as necessary
Required Education, Experience & Skills
Thrive in a fast‑paced, constantly evolving environment while managing multiple priorities and making sound business decisions
Engage confidently in a customer‑facing role, delivering excellent service and support
Stay composed under pressure, with a strong focus on achieving results
Bring enthusiasm, self‑motivation, and a positive attitude to the team
Demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective time management, and attention to detail
Communicate clearly and professionally across written, verbal, and listening channels
Adapt quickly to new technologies and processes
Meet role‑specific physical/lifting requirements as needed by the supply center
2+ years of experience in a retail or wholesale environment, with proven success in customer interactions (preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office, and Outlook
Familiarity with the building industry is a plus, but not required
College degree preferred
Work Environment
Work in a combined warehouse and office environment
Operate within a facility where forklifts and other equipment are present
Follow safety standards, including wearing company‑issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Adapt to varying temperatures, from extreme cold to extreme heat
Regularly use company communication tools such as computers, cell phones, and printers
