General Job Description
IES Residential is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Residential Electrical Estimator to join our estimating team in Suwanee, GA. This is an in-office position offering an exciting opportunity to support the success of our single-family residential projects through accurate estimating, strong communication, and teamwork.
What You’ll Do
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for single-family residential electrical projects
Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine scope of work
Collaborate with project managers, field leadership, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on project requirements and budgets
Source and review vendor pricing to develop competitive and accurate estimates
Assist in preparing bid packages, including proposals, budgets, and supporting documentation
Monitor labor costs, material pricing, and industry trends to ensure estimates remain current and accurate
Maintain organized records of all estimates and supporting documentation
Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools
Minimum Education None
Minimum Years Of Experience 2-4
Qualifications Specific Qualifications
Prior experience estimating residential electrical work (single-family preferred)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and estimating software
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods
Ability to operate standard office equipment including computers, printers, and phones
Ability to review construction drawings and technical documents electronically and in print
Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly and effectively
License Required Yes
