Assistant Director, Financial Aid – Sargent College, Academic Services
Reporting to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, the Assistant Director of Graduate Financial Aid will determine eligibility, award scholarships and other funds, process financial aid documents, and advise graduate students across several large graduate programs at Sargent College, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, nutrition, and human physiology. He/she will counsel students on federal financial aid options, procedures, and repayment, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and federal regulations.
Additionally, the Assistant Director will provide complementary administrative support for graduate enrollment efforts during peak periods in coordination with the Sr. Director of Graduate Enrollment & Strategic Communications and their team. Responsibilities include managing Slate platform operations, coordinating enrollment events, and assisting with general admissions administration.

Salary Grade: $62,525.00 – $81,175.00
Required
Bachelor's degree, master’s preferred.
Five years of professional experience in higher education student financial aid management.
Sensitivity for multicultural, disability, and socio-economic diversity with an awareness of best practices.
Diplomacy and dependability in collaborating with students, faculty, staff, and resources across the University.
Experience supporting data-informed decisions.
Experience serving diverse student populations and a demonstrated commitment to racial justice, equity, and inclusion.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), including the ability to work sensitively to support students to make informed decisions.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues across the university.
Openness to learning new reporting platforms and procedures.
Preferred
Interest in health-care professions and the role of AAU/R1 universities in the U.S. higher‑education system.
Previous knowledge and familiarity with BU's student information systems is a plus!
