This role is instrumental inenhancing the financial oversight of U.S. government programs by providingconsulting expertise to streamline financial processes, improve data accuracy,and ensure policy compliance.
Our client is a boutique consultingfirm that employs consultants and professionals with unique skill sets tosupport the federal government with strategic execution, financial processenablement, IT systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) softwareimplementation.
What Will You Do The ideal candidate will leveragetheir expertise in government financial management processes and systems. The role will involve financialreporting, program management, policy development, and collaborativefacilitation, requiring a candidate with strong communication, coordination,and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
Oversee financial monitoring and delivery posting forForeign Military Sales (FMS) cases.
Prepare detailed financial reports and briefings foruse in Program Management Reviews (PMR), Financial Management Reviews(FMR), and other meetings to support Case Managers in evaluating FMS caseperformance.
Regularly report on the financial status of FMS cases,including obligated, expended, and available funds, providing insight andforecasts to inform financial decisions.
Analyze FMS financial transactions to ensure compliancewith laws, regulations, guidelines, and contract requirements.
Develop and refine financial policies and procedurestoi improve accuracy and compliance within FMS financial reporting andtracking processes.
Provide recommendations for policy updates to enhancefinancial oversight and support alignment with evolving regulatoryrequirements.
Requirements
Clearance: Secret
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, businessadministration, policy, or a related field.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in PPBE governmentfinancial management, policy facilitation, or program management.
Strong background in financial reporting, analysis, andcompliance.
Experience: 3-5 years of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) financialprocesses, regulations, and policy development preferred.
Proven ability to prepare financial briefings andreports for executive and management-level review.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in federal financialsystems, policies, and procedures supporting FMS and SAA efforts.
Skills: Exceptional organizational, analytical, andcommunication abilities, with demonstrated capacity to work within cross-functionalteams.
