Key Responsibilities
Supervise HVAC installation crews on commercial construction projects, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and safety protocols.
Coordinate workflow, assign daily tasks, and monitor productivity to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
Oversee and participate in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical HVAC systems, ductwork, and piping.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes to guide work.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trade foremen to ensure seamless project execution.
Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce OSHA‑compliant practices on the job site.
Complete local inspection related work for quality assurance and compliance with energy efficiency standards.
Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members to foster skill development and performance improvement.
Maintain accurate jobsite records, including progress reports, material usage, and equipment logs.
Qualifications
Experience:
4‑12 years in the HVAC field, including 3‑5 years in a supervisory or foreman role within commercial construction preferred.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in HVAC system design, installation, troubleshooting, and repair for commercial applications.
Certifications:
MEWP certification, forklift operator certification, fall protection certification required or provided.
Valid driver’s license.
Leadership Skills:
Strong communication, delegation, time management, and conflict resolution abilities.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy equipment, work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
Other:
Familiarity with construction management software is a plus.
